- When you create a Job Seeker account with JobFinderUSA, upload a resume, set up a job alert, or enter a competition, we ask for information such as your name and email address.
- When you create an Employer account with JobFinderUSA, we ask for information such as your name, email address, company name, employer type, address, phone number and website.
- When you purchase a product or service, we ask for billing address and payment information.
As part of your membership on the site, you can fill out a short profile. You can classify your profile in two ways, depending on your privacy preference.
First, you can choose to hide your profile, including your resume, from all employers or from certain recruiters that you specify. If you have a profile that is hidden, your resume will not be searchable or viewable by employers and recruiters as described on the Your Profile page.
Alternatively, you can choose not to hide your profile so that your profile will be seen as submitted by you. If you have a profile that is not hidden, your resume will be viewable and searchable by employers and recruiters who pay for access to our resume databases products, and your profile, including the contact information within the profile, will be visible to employers and recruiters as described on the Your Profile page.
You have the ability to change the classification of your profile at any time by logging into your account, selecting Your Profile, and making your desired changes.
Please note that we try to grant access to this database only to paying employers, recruiters, hiring managers, headhunters, and human resource professionals, but cannot guarantee that other parties will not, without our consent, gain access to this database, or that paying employers will not forward your resume to another party.
Updating Account Information
We allow you to change, correct, or delete your personal information at any time. To do so, simply log into your account, either click on your name or go to the Your Profile section, and you will find options for editing the information you have submitted. You may also update your marketing preferences under Your Account section at anytime.
You may hide or remove your resume from our searchable database at any time. However, employers and recruiters who have paid for access to the database, and other parties who have otherwise gained access to the database, may have retained a copy of your resume in their own files or databases. We are not responsible for the retention, use, or privacy of resumes in these instances, or for the use (or privacy) of resumes by any of such parties while resumes are in the database.
We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service.
If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Paypal stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.
All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. When you sign up for an account, based upon the personally identifiable information you provide us, we will send you a welcome email to verify your username and password. We will also communicate with you in response to your inquiries, to provide the services you request, and to manage your account. We will communicate with you by email.
