Vocational Specialist

The Nevada Community Enrichment Program (NCEP) a program provided by Accessible Space, Inc. is currently seeking a Full time Vocational Specialist. The Vocational Specialist supports and directs the vocational services within NCEP.

Develops and implements a comprehensive vocational program for NCEP clients. Prepare assessments on all clients.  Prepare bi-weekly progress reports. Train clients and staff on NCEP vocational policies and practices. Network with professionals in the community for purposes of potential employment for NCEP clients. Assist clients to identify viable vocational goals for full-time, part-time, or volunteer activities, and assist in identifying the assistance they will need to achieve their goals (e.g., job development, job coaching, volunteering, etc.).
 
Qualifications:

  • Four-year degree in Rehab Counseling, Vocational Counseling, or related degree the equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for a degree.
  • Two years’ experience with disabled populations and two years’ experience with vocational placement.
  • Prior experience working day treatment and/or residential programs for individuals with traumatic brain injuries.
  • Working knowledge of neurological rehabilitation.

NCEP is centrally located at 6375 W. Charleston Blvd - Suite L200 on the College of Southern Nevada Campus.
