Army Residence Community is currently accepting applications for a Registered Nurse, Education Coordinator: Position reports to the Director of Nursing.
Responsible for providing staff development expertise as an educator, change agent, leader, consultant, facilitator, and researcher. Each supports the development of the bedside nurse, and fosters empowerment through knowledge to achieve excellence through the delivery of evidenced based nursing practice. This occurs through the facilitation of the educational process through assessment, development, planning, implementation and evaluation of competency assessment, continuing education and leadership development. As a Registered Nurse to assess the nursing needs of aging residents; plan and implement nursing care to meet those needs and evaluate the effectiveness of such care to achieve and maintain a level of wellness consistent with the limitations imposed by the aging process.
Required Qualifications at this Level:
- Education: Associate required, MSN preferred.
- Experience: Worked in an adult care setting either a hospital or long term care facility for a minimum of 5 years, and has participated in continuing education in adult medical/surgical nursing in relationship to years in practice as required.
- Degrees, Licensure, and/or Certification: Current or compact RN licensure in the state of Texas required. BLS required.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Advanced Computer Skills in Microsoft office. Knowledge of audiovisual equipment set up is an advantage.
