Entry level manual maintenance work that involves the routine maintenance, cleaning, fueling, servicing and operating of MTA vehicles and equipment. Duties include but are not limited to: washes interiors and exteriors of vehicles, removes debris and graffiti from the vehicles, checks and replenishes various fluids to include fuels and engine oil, and maintains records indicating fluids that are dispensed.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalency (GED) certificate recognized by the State of Maryland.
- One (1) year of full-time experience performing duties in the truck, bus or automotive trade: changing fluids and filters, removing parts and units from vehicles, fueling, and visually inspecting vehicles for discrepancies
Licenses & Certifications:
- “C” Repairman must have a Class “B” Permit or License within the two-week training period and obtain a CDL License within the (90) ninety-day probationary period.
The resulting list of qualified candidates will be used to staff current and future vacancies in the Body Shop, Brake Shop, or Main Shop. Bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply.
