Handles large volume of phone calls coming in each day with patients calling with questions for providers, or to schedule new or follow-up appointments.
Responsible for secretarial duties for one or multiple providers.
Responsible for prepping charts for providers and making sure that all appropriate testing has been completed (for follow-ups) or that we have all prior notes, testing, etc. for new patients coming to the practice.
Scanning in documents into eclinicalworks; emr system.
Responsible for working with providers to complete appropriate paperwork on a timely basis or getting telephone encounter answers timely to be able to contact patient back with answers to their questions.1. Education and Training:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
One (1) year experience that has included knowledge of standard secretarial office practices and procedures (eg, filing procedures, standard letter format, telephone etiquette, etc.) and basic level word processing. Medical office experience preferred.
3. Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:
. Typing proficiency of 50 wpm with accuracy
. Requires basic level proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
. Knowledge of medical terminology required.
. Ability to acquire basic skills in additional personal computer applications as required by position.
. Interpersonal communication skill to effectively interact in person and over the telephone.
. Ability to take and transcribe meeting minutes.
. Must maintain confidentiality of patient, employee or financial records.
. Ability to perform work in a team environment.
