We developed this privacy policy to explain how we gather, use, and disclose personal information which may be collected on the Jobfinderusa.com web site (the “Site”). How We Collect Personal Information
- Job Seeker Registration: When you register as a Job Seeker, we gather information such as your first and last name and e-mail address; you may choose to provide optional information such as your home address.
- Resume and Personal History: When you create a resume using our site, we collect whatever information you choose to include in your resume. This personal information includes contact information, your education, work history, and legal work status.
- Employer Registration: When you register as an Employer, we gather information such as your first and last name, e-mail address, your company name, and company street address; we request additional information such as your company web site address.
Why we collect personal information
Jobfinderusa.com collects personal information from its users in order to effectively provide access to private and secure areas of the site to post and manage original content (such as resumes and job postings). All users should be aware, that when they voluntarily display (e.g., public resume or job posting) or distribute personal information (such as their e-mail address or resume), that information can be collected and used by others. This may result in unsolicited messages from third parties for which Jobfinderusa.com is not responsible.
Information Gathering and Use
- Deleting your Resume: If you delete a resume from the web site, all references to that resume are removed from the web site; however if you have applied for a job, the e-mail containing your resume cannot be deleted once it has been delivered.
- Resume Database: You have the option of making each resume you create and store on Jobfinderusa.com, public to employers who use the site to find qualified job applicants. Employers who have active job postings will have access to a searchable resume database. Employers will only be able to search for resumes that have been marked as “public”, and only for the corresponding Job Finder markets (cities) that their job posting is in.
- Job Applications: When you apply for jobs using a stored resume, a complete copy of the resume you selected is provided via e-mail to the employer and is also stored under the job you applied for. Each submitted resume will include the contact information you have provided in your account profile. This information is accessible to the employer when they access their Jobfinderusa.com account.
- Job Postings: When you post jobs using the site, certain information is required for each job posting, including company name, contact information and job details. Once you post a job to the site, the information provided in each job posting is accessible to visitors of the site.
Credit Card Information
We do not currently offer any services or products to Job Seekers that require or use credit card information. Employers must provide credit card information to purchase online job credits, which are in turn, used to post jobs on Jobfinderusa.com. We do not retain any user credit card information on our servers. All of our credit card transactions are encrypted using industry standard SSL encryption.
IP Address
We may use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, and to administer our web site. We will not track any other information regarding your IP address.
Surveys or Contests
From time-to-time we may provide you the opportunity to participate in contests or surveys on our site. If you participate, we will request certain personally identifiable information from you. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary and you therefore have a choice whether or not to disclose this information. The requested information typically includes contact information (such as name and shipping address), and demographic information (such as zip code).
Communications from the Site
Service-related Announcements
Jobfinderusa.com will send you strictly service-related announcements on rare occasions when it is necessary to do so. For instance, if you submit a request to reset your account password, or if our service is temporarily suspended for maintenance, we might send you an e-mail. Generally, you may not opt-out of these communications, which are not promotional in nature. If you do not wish to receive them, you have the option to deactivate your account.
Customer Support and Service
When you sign up for an account on our web site, based upon the personally identifiable information you provide us, we will send you an activation e-mail to verify your username and password. We will also communicate with you in response to your inquiries, to provide the services you request, and to manage your account. We will communicate with you by e-mail.

We do not link aggregate user data with personally identifiable information.
Agents
We use a credit card processing company (Authorize.net) to bill employers when they purchase online job credits. This company does not do not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any other purposes.

We reserve the right to disclose your personally identifiable information as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on our Web site.
Cookies
A cookie is a small text file that is stored on a user’s computer for record-keeping purposes. We use cookies on this site. We do not link the information we store in cookies to any personally identifiable information you submit while on our site.
We use both session ID cookies and/or persistent cookies. We use session cookies to make it easier for you to navigate our site. A session ID cookie expires when you close your browser. A persistent cookie remains on your hard drive for an extended period of time. You can remove persistent cookies by following directions provided in your Internet browser’s “help” file. If you choose “remember me” from the login page, we set a persistent cookie to store your password, so you don’t have to enter it more than once.
